Where We Come From
Perrysburg First United Methodist church is part of the rich history of Perrysburg, Ohio, dating back to the early 1800s when this area was established. Meeting at first in a school house and also the historic “Spafford House” in town, members waited until a proper wooden church could be built in 1836, which still serves as the current site of Perrysburg First Church today. First Church has always been a place committed to teaching God’s Word and allowing people the opportunity to experience the presence of God’s Holy Spirit. Through mission efforts in our community, our country, and around the world, our people have continually strived to place a high priority on Jesus’ command that all the world come to know Him. Our prayer is that you will find First Church to be a place where you can connect, grow, and serve together, to experience the life change that only Jesus can bring.
Where We’re Headed
Our mission here at Perrysburg First is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We desire to engage and impact those that are seeking a real relationship with Jesus, through active mission work, authentic worship, studying God’s word, and fellowship with one another. Here at First Church we strive to be a people that are “here to serve, not be served!”
