New to Perrysburg First Church?

You might be wondering, what's it really like at First Church? Simply stated, at Perrysburg First, we're all about Jesus and serving others before self. You won't be met with shame, guilt, or condemnation. We don't care how you're dressed or what candidate you voted for. Our church is made up of imperfect people with every kind of life story imaginable.

Want to know the best part? No matter what you've been through or what questions you might have about God and faith, our church is a place where you'll find the love, grace, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone.

Here are a few things to help plan your first visit...

When Is Church?

Starting June 6th, 2021 First Church will return to one worship service at 10:15am and no registration will be required. Service will continue to be live streamed on our Facebook Page for those who would prefer to worship from home or are not feeling well.

What Should I Wear?

Our services are more traditional in the sense that you will see some attendees wearing dress shirts and ties. Others wear a combination of dressy and causal. Whatever you wear, we are just thankful you are coming to worship with us!

What Can I Expect During Service?

Each Sunday service is traditional in format and includes a time of welcome, prayer, the playing of hymns, scripture reading, and a hope-filled message from one of our pastors. In total, services are about 45 minutes in length. Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month and is open to anyone seeking a relationship with Jesus.

What Precautions Are We Taking As The State Reopens?

First and foremost, if you do not feel safe coming to in-person worship, are not feeling well, have a fever, or have recently come in contact with someone who could be positive for COVID, we ask that you please stay home. Services will continue to be live-streamed on our Facebook page. At this time masks will be suggested for anyone that is not fully vaccinated but optional for those who have been fully vaccinated. We will also continue to maintain socially distance seating during this transition of the new state guidelines.

What Can My Kids Do During Service?

We believe in families sharing in the same meaningful discussions together, but realize that kids and adults need different experiences and explanations of the message that is being presented. This is why we invite children K-6th grade to join us for Children’s Church down in our Fellowship Hall during the worship service.  Our Nursery is also available throughout the service as well. We know this won't answer all the questions you may have, so we would love to connect with you more during your upcoming visit. A volunteer will be available when you arrive to answer any questions or give directions. They will be at the welcome desk to the left as you enter the front doors. We can't wait to meet you!
